Multi-Day Music Festival Coverage in Boise, Idaho

I served as an official photographer for Treefort 11, a five-day indie music festival featuring over 450 bands across 60 venues throughout downtown Boise, Idaho. Over three intensive days of coverage, I documented live performances from emerging and established artists, capturing the energy and artistry of one of the region’s premier music events.
Challenge
Navigate the unpredictable conditions of live concert photography—rapidly changing lighting, dynamic stage movement, and the three-second window typical of festival photo pit access—while maintaining consistent quality across dozens of diverse performances.
Approach
I focused on capturing authentic moments that showcase both individual artist energy and the broader festival atmosphere. Moving between multiple venues, I adapted my technique to varied stage setups, from intimate club settings to the festival’s new main stage location at Julia Davis Park. My goal was to create images that music fans would want on their walls—the peak performance moments that present artists at their best.
