Free Website Idaho: Web Design for Idaho Small Businesses
A Flat-Rate Web Design Service I Run on the Side

Free Website Idaho is a side business I run from Kuna. The offer fits in a headline: $29 a month, website included. I build a custom site at no charge, the business pays for hosting, and the site goes live in about two weeks.
The offer
A local business usually hears one of two things: a bill in the thousands, or a template with someone else’s stock photos. This is neither. The sites are hand-coded, not built on a template or WordPress, and hosting runs on Cloudflare.
Each site ships with:
- A Lighthouse-optimized build.
- Email on the business’s own domain.
- Analytics already wired in.
- SEO markup and an
llms.txtfile so AI search tools can read it.
It’s open to Idaho small businesses only.
How it works
There are three steps and no sales calls. The business fills out a four-question form. I review it and build the site. The business gets a preview link, sets up $29 a month hosting on autopay, and I connect their domain.
What I built
The site is the pitch, so it had to be an example of its own offer.
- A one-page offer with a what-this-is and what-this-isn’t comparison, a price, and an FAQ.
- How it works, apply, tools and blog pages.
- A landing page for each of nine Idaho cities: Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls.
- A work page that lists real launched sites, including Tap That Growlers and 208TCG. No mockups.
Design approach
Light and quiet: a soft blue and cream wash behind large, tight headlines, with one blue for every button. The copy is plain on purpose. It says “no $3,000 invoice with your name spelled wrong on it” and means it.
Outcome
Free Website Idaho is live at freewebsiteidaho.com and takes applications through the site. It’s also where I send people to see recent work.
Live sites may have been modified by the client after delivery. Screens here show the original work.
